Franchise Agreements are more negotiable than you think

Charles N. Internicola and the New York Franchise Law Blog (www.newyorkfranchiselaw.com) wrote an article to dispel the myth that it is illegal for a franchisor to modify the terms of its franchise agreement.

Franchisors often negotiate many provisions of the franchise agreement if the proposed franchisee has sufficient bargaining power.

The State of California maintain a database of franchise disclosure documents and transactions on its CalEASI website. This database is a great resource to review recent and current franchise documents for a particular franchise.
