The Info Law Group wrote a recent post about two bills pending in the Senate Judiciary Committee. Although this topic has been pending for quite some time, I anticipate we will see a uniform federal regulation adopted on this issue.
So far various federal agencies and state governments are working on adopting laws but unfortunately they are not uniform. Businesses are finding it difficult to comply with non-uniform laws.
