Transfer on Death Deeds in Ohio must now be done by affidavit

On December 28, 2009, the S.B. 124 become law and now requires that all designation of a beneficiary of a transfer of death of real property must be created by affidavit rather than by deed. This bill is effectively immediately.

Transfers of real property on death had previously been accomplished using a transfer on death deed.
